In simple terms, a Ceramic Coating applied over the paintwork of your car will offer you just about all of the protection of Paint Protection Film (PPF). However, the most important difference is that a Ceramic Coating will not offer your paint protection against stone chips, scratches, etchings and other physical damage during day to day driving. This is essentially because a Ceramic Coating is a liquid applied solution that results in a very thin layer of protection, while PPF is a Thermoplastic polyurethane, (think of it like plastic contact for school books) that is relatively thick and malleable.
